The Making House

Welcome to The Making House , come along and unlock you inner artist with Anna and her colleagues. Anna has 15 years experience in helping all ages to have fun and express themselves through making objects and art.

At The Making House you’ll find:

• a welcoming studio space to explore your creative ideas,
• a gallery space where there will be changing exhibitions and workshops inspired by the work on show,
• a shop space which will be selling bags2riches products alongside other recycled and Fair Trade gifts, as well as space to put together your own pieces of jewellery
•  a space to allow you to show and sell the work you’ve made
• monthly creative drop in opportunities for the local community

We will be offering courses in a variety of crafts and practical skills from jewellery making to sewing. We believe it’s important to create a making and shopping experience that is good for the environment, so many of the courses and products will have a focus on recycling, sustainability and  Fair Trade. We hope to get lots of people involved and want to develop a creative community, so we’re welcome to your ideas and also to hiring out the space to encourage people to make and chat.

We can also offer specialist tuition for school groups, (in house or in school), creative parties for young and old and talks on different crafts, sustainability and enterprise.
